Description of Artwork: Memik Horuz held an interview with the militants of Workers' and Peasants Liberation Army of Turkey (TIKKO) in Tokat, excerps of which were published in "Özgür Gelecek."



Description of Incident: The Court of Cassation tried Memik Horuz the editor-in-chief of the journal "Isçi Köylü". Memik Horuz has been arrested since 25 June 2001 for an interview with the militants of Workers' and Peasants Liberation Army of Turkey (TIKKO) in Tokat. The interview that he allegedly conducted was not published in the journal "Isçi Köylü", but "Özgür Gelecek". In this connection the editor-in-chief of "Özgür Gelecek", Ali Kemal Kahraman, is on trial at Istanbul SSC.



Results of Incident: Memik Horuz was sentenced by Ankara SSC to 15 years' imprisonment on 12 June 2002 on charges of membership of an illegal organization.
