Description of Artwork: "Mi Sto Ni" is a novel which portrays Jesus Christ as a philander who finds it hard to resist Mary Magdalene. The book seeks to explore the theme of misogyny. Its opponents have taken particular exception to passages that allude to Jesus's simmering sexual desires.



Description of Incident: The Greek Orthodox Church believes this book is "blasphemous" and "obscene".



Results of Incident: They burned the book publicly and banned its sale.
